uBoost’s mission is to inspire students to perform at their highest academic level by surrounding them with motivational elements that foster interaction with and recognition from teachers, tutors, parents, and peers. By boosting the way students feel about their learning and providing educators with an innovative way to encourage their progress, uBoost can ultimately help drive positive student learning outcomes.
uBoost’s core concepts originate from It’s All About Kids, LLC, a Hawaii-based tutoring company that began its operations in 2005. It’s All About Kids was able to demonstrate the effectiveness of rewards in the education arena by achieving higher attendance, retention and performance metrics than many of its competitors. Combining the experience gained from IAAK’s proof of concept and additional research performed by experts in the industry, uBoost’s founder (and It’s All About Kids Chairman of the Board), John Bower, founded uBoost, education’s premier online rewards and recognition platform.
uBoost appreciates that students are unique - that students learn differently and that intrinsic motivation varies across subject areas. uBoost's rewards platform empowers students by recognizing their individual academic achievements through a point system. Students can choose from over 100,000 prizes, including merchandise, gift cards, digital assets, contributing to charitable organizations and special offers. To maintain engagement, uBoost continues to offer new rewards, contests and sweepstakes. uBoost strives to appeal to all students by offering varied reward choices, ensuring that the program builds and maintains relevance throughout the school year.
